چکیده
Recently development of high-performance polymer composites made from natural resources in the various sectors is increasing tremendously due to environmental issues and health hazard possessed by synthetic fibers during disposal manufacturing. Among many different types resources, kenaf have been extensively investigated as an alternative reinforcement for over past few years their low cost, good mechanical properties, high specific strength, nonabrasive, eco-friendly, biodegradability characteristics. Kenaf regarded industrial crop Malaysia grown commercially other parts world applications. It certainly one important plants cultivated globally which has great potential use automotive construction materials. In research studies, used unsaturated polyester (UPE) perfectly improved features resin. The tensile properties fiber reinforced UPE are mainly influenced interfacial adhesion between Several chemical modifications employed improve bonding polyester, resulting enhancement composites. Therefore, this paper explores highlights previous studies around composites, terms processing methods, mechanical, water absorption, morphological provide a perfect source literature doing further topic.

Effect of water absorption on the mechanical properties of hemp fibre reinforced unsaturated polyester composites
Hemp fibre reinforced unsaturated polyester composites (HFRUPE) were subjected to water immersion tests in order to study the effects of water absorption on the mechanical properties. HFRUPE composites specimens containing 0, 0.10, 0.15, 0.21 and 0.26 fibre volume fraction were prepared. Water absorption tests were conducted by immersing specimens in a de-ionised water bath at 25 C and 100 C fo...

The potential use of natural biopolymer composites in a variety of applications that requires biodegradability and better mechanical properties has renewed many researchers interest on the composites. This research involves the analysis of flexural properties for natural fibers specifically kenaffiber mat in a polylactic acid (PLA) matrix (KMPLA). The polylactic acid has been chosen as a matrix...
متن کاملCharacterization of Laccase-Treated Kenaf Fibre Reinforced Recycled Polypropylene Composites
Raw and laccase-treated kenaf fibre (KF) were used individually to reinforce recycled polypropylene (RPP) using extrusion and injection moulding. Laccase was used to modify the surface of the fibre to improve the compatibility between fibre and matrix. Enzyme concentration and soaking time were considered as the treatment parameters. Maleic anhydride grafted polypropylene (MAPP) was used with a...
متن کاملMechanical Properties and Water Absorption of Hemp Fibers–Reinforced Unsaturated Polyester Composites: Effect of Fiber Surface Treatment with a Heterofunctional Monomer
Hemp fibers–reinforced unsaturated polyester (UP) composites were prepared by hand lay-out compression molding. Hemp fibers were treated with isocyanatoethyl methacrylate (IEM), using dibutyltin dilaurate as a catalyst. The results indicated that fiber treatment significantly increased tensile strength, flexural strength, flexural modulus, and water resistance of the resulting composites, and y...
